I am donating a portrait session and 11×14 portrait to the Feb. 16 Gala to benefit the BennettStrong Foundation. family portrait, family photograph, black and white picture, mom, dad, and child, Bucks County photographer, Portraits by Anne-MarieI met Bennett and his family about a year ago. I was captivated by Bennett’s smile and his playful nature. Bennett loved showing off his accomplishments.family photographer, family picture, black and white photograph, Bucks county photographer, Portraits by Anne-Marie, child photographer

He adores his parents.

And they delight in him!

Like most parents, Bennett’s parents, I’m sure, were overcome with love when he was born. But unlike most parents, Bennett’s parents must have felt much fear and uncertainty. Bennett was born very early and ended up spending over 7 months in the NICU. You can read their story here.

If you’ve ever had a child in the NICU (my son was in the NICU for 5 weeks) you know what a frightening and confusing time it can be. There are so many ups and downs. Many things to worry about and many things to celebrate, too – the first time  your child can breath on his own, take food, and best of all – come home from the hospital.

Bennett’s parents started the BennettStrong Foundation to support  parents whose babies are in the NICU. They have created a journal where parents can write all their questions, fears, joys, and the ups and downs of their baby’s progress. See more about the journal here.

The Gala is Sat., Feb. 16. at the Northampton Country Club. You can get your tickets here until Feb. 12.
