So, of course, as a family and pet photographer in Bucks County, I love to include your pet in the family photographs. As a part of the family, he also deserves his own portrait on the wall.
Pets are so fun and bring such life to a portrait session. Patience is key, and that is something I’m known for. Just as with toddlers, for me, your dog can do no wrong. We take plenty of time for the dog or cat to feel comfortable and take breaks so they don’t become stressed.
I have portraits of my dogs, past and present, hanging on my walls, and that is what I wish for all of my clients.

When your pet first comes into the studio, she may be a little unsure. We will take time to let her get acclimated. Before she is completely comfortable is a great time to get images of her cuddling with you. Later, as she warms up, we can get more fun and playful images. Pet parents are often amazed at the great pictures of their dog or cat that I capture when they might think she’s not cooperating. This happens because I am patient, use positive motivation and am great at finding those “moments”.
Don’t worry. I know how to light and pose, so you always look your best. Often, you will just be a prop for your pet, so only a portion of you will be in the portrait or you will be in shadow. The portrait will highlight the love you and your pet have for each other.
