I love working with families, especially extended families. I love to see the bond across generations. The R. family was a wonderful family to work with! They grandparents have grandchildren ranging from college age to under a year. How lucky! They are all so close, so warm and comfortable with one another. So happy and fun! They also are a very busy family, so we had to do some creative scheduling. For our first date, we were met with a snowstorm, and we finally ended up with a beautiful spring day. As you can see, this was fortuitous because we could use their gorgeous backyard as a backdrop.
Pay attention to their outfit choices. They did a great job of coordinating outfits for all those people and age ranges. (Don’t forget – they had done this first with winter outfits, then had to switch to spring.)
They filled a wall in the entry way of their newly painted and updated house with framed portraits of all the families, grandkids, and grandparents. It looks fantastic!
