The Joys and Pains of Being a New Mom

  • Post published:March 22, 2018

I'm happy to have my friend and colleague Dr. Ed Camacho, chiropractor, as a guest blogger. When I was a new mom, I thought any aches and pains I had were just the result of motherhood and something I had to get used to. Dr. Ed told me there are things new moms can do to help those newly used muscles. You can find out more about Dr. Ed and his office here. See more mommy and baby photos at Portraits by Anne-Marie. Family

I love working with families, especially extended families. I love to see the bond across generations. The R. family was a wonderful family to work with! They grandparents have grandchildren ranging from college age to under a year. How lucky! They are all so close, so warm and comfortable with one another. So happy and fun! And best of all, I was able to document his great-grandparents - my parents- seeing him for the first time. The moment was so full of emotion. This baby is my parents very first great-grandchild. I am so looking forward…

Best Mother’s Day Ever!

  • Post published:May 19, 2017

Twenty two years ago, the Friday before Mother's Day, my son came home from a 5 week stay in the hospital, 4 pounds 5 ounces, 16 inches long. Last weekend he graduated, with honors, from Newhouse School of Communications and the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University. I am so proud of him! All of the family (except my niece and her husband who are expecting a baby in a month) were there. I'm so happy everyone could attend, especially my parents, since it's getting hard for them to travel. And my daughter, who had just moved…
