Ready for spring? It is coming! At the studio we're going to celebrate the coming of spring with a special Limited Edition Session on Saturday, March 11. We will have the most adorable live bunnies (and maybe some 2 month old baby bunnies, too)! Merit Winning Portrait

I am so happy that my portrait of Karl won a Blue Ribbon! I entered it in the competition held by the Guild of Professional Photographers of the Delaware Valley. The competition was held on Sunday at Dennis Kelly Photography. There were so many great images by talented  photographers in the area. I am excited that my  portrait of this adorable dog was one of the images deserving of a merit. This pup was about 6 months old when I photographed him. People are more likely to do business with you, hire you, feel connected to you if they know what you look like. Put your best face forward and communicate your message effectively by preparing for your headshot portrait session. First, communicate with your photographer. Let the photographer know what sort of image you want to portray, what message you want to communicate to your potential clients/employers/friends. It's somewhat surprising to find me in this career - a small business owner and a visual artist. As a child I didn't care for art class, mostly because I could not draw. When I was in college, my father advised me to major in business. As a  college student, business sounded way too boring and too conventional. I was captivated by genetics and the beautiful way that an organism developed. So I ended up getting a master's degree in genetics and worked in that field for 15 years. But something was missing. Some Images from Christmas Mini-Sessions

This year, for the first time, I had a day in the fall where I offered short mini-sessions with a Christmas theme. I decorated a tree and had an antique sled and "snow". I also offered a few specialty products just for this mini-session. I loved meeting new families and children I had never photographed before! Here are a few images from the sessions.
