When I walked into that hospital room and saw his daddy holding him I was overjoyed. And when someone put him into my arms my heart melted. Twenty two years ago, the Friday before Mother's Day, my son came home from a 5 week stay in the hospital, 4 pounds 5 ounces, 16 inches long. Last weekend he graduated, with honors, from Newhouse School of Communications and the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University. I am so proud of him! All of the family (except my niece and her husband who are expecting a baby in a month) were there. I am so happy that my portrait of Karl won a Blue Ribbon! I entered it in the competition held by the Guild of Professional Photographers of the Delaware Valley. The competition was held on Sunday at Dennis Kelly Photography. There were so many great images by talented  photographers in the area. I am excited that my  portrait of this adorable dog was one of the images deserving of a merit. This pup was about 6 months old when I photographed him.
